  • Easter Bunny Snot

Hi! Its me, Sprinkles! I am Nickey’s pet unicorn and the intern here at Colors Are Magic. I am so happy to be sharing an Easter post with you this week! I am not sure if you read our last post, but Nickey told a story about how the Easter Bunny taught us to make some Easter Peeps Dough. We ran into him on our weekend trip to the Cotton Candy Kingdom. Well, it just so happened that it was that same visit that inspired this post too!

You see, the Easter Bunny is allergic to vegetables. He can only eats chocolates and Easter candies– and Nickey happened to be snacking on some cut up cucumbers. We were not aware of his allergies at this point. He sneezed a crazy big sneeze  (I apologize in advance for the TMI), and his snot when everywhere!  Once we saw the St. Patrick’s Day leprechaun sneeze and his snot was glittery and had shiny green clovers in it! Well, the Easter Bunny is no exception. His snot was iridescent, sparkly, and full of tiny pastel Easter eggs!

  • Boo Goo (Halloween Gak)

It was a dark and stormy night…. well… no it wasn’t– but it makes for a better Halloween story. Anyhow, on this particular Wednesday afternoon, my pet unicorn, Sprinkles, and I were trying to come up with some creative sugar alternatives to hand out to our little Trick-or-Treaters this Halloween. We have already made some very fun and colorful Halloween Crayons (which I am stoked about!) — but we wanted to have some sort of sensory project for our Halloween Porch Party!

  • Leprechaun Snot

As a lot of you already know, the St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun and I are actually pretty tight. For those of you who are not up to speed, I have a pet unicorn and she introduced us. Growing up in the Cotton Candy Kingdom, my unicorn had the opportunity to meet many different holiday icons. She is close with pretty much all of them and the Tooth Fairy is even her Godmother. Every year on St. Patrick’s Day, the Leprechaun comes over to our apartment and celebrates a few traditions with us. (You can click here to check them out.) One year while he was making us some of his famous Lucky Charms pancakes, he had to sneeze. He looked away and didn’t sneeze on our breakfast (thank God), but he did sneeze on my cabinet door. Well, I thought that Cupid and my unicorn were the only things alive that had pretty snot… but I guess I was wrong. Maybe only human snot is gross? Ughhh… let’s not get crazy. Anyway…. it was shimmery and had tiny shiny clovers in it! So I thought I would make a few adjustments to the Cupid’s Snot recipe and help you create some fun St. Patrick’s Day Slime for your kiddos to enjoy.

  • Cupid’s Snot

One of the perks of living with a unicorn is getting to go on some sweet adventures to magical lands. I am never not up for a trip to The Cotton Candy Kingdom (that’s where my pet unicorn was born and raised). It is known for many things… but one of my favorites is that it is where all of your favorite holiday legends go vacationing. Since Valentines Day is just around the corner, Cupid decided to go on a mini-vaca. Valentines Day is no small event when you are Cupid. It’s a huge responsibility to be in charge of people’s love lives. If you strike the wrong person and a couple pairs off wrong, you could potentially ruin their lives. Talk about pressure.
