Homemade Kool-Aid Lipgloss

Today Sprinkles (my pet unicorn), and I played dress up. I know it may sound stereotypical, but we but love to dress up as princesses. Yes…. tiaras, glitter, dresses…. we love it all. You should see us when we go to Disneyland..it’s pretty insane.

Well, today we decided that we need to have some pretty princess make-up, but we were out of lipgloss. So, here is a recipe that we came up with to make our lips taste sweet and look like royalty. It is super simple– you should totally give it a try.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Kool Aid

– Coconut Oil

– Sugar

– Tiny Lipgloss or Paint Pots

– Measuring Spoons

– 2 Bowls

– Water

Here’s what to do:

1.) I used 2 tbsp. of coconut oil per Kool-Aid flavor, and each batch flavor filled up about 4 of my paint pots. Scoop coconut oil into a small bowl and heat in the microwave for for 3-5 seconds. You do not want the coconut oil to be liquified, so make sure not to over heat it. Stir your oil well.

2.) In another small bowl, pour 1/2 to 3/4 of your chosen Kool-Aid packet into another small bowl. Add just enough water to it to from a paste. It is going to be extremely tart– so make sure you add sugar to taste.  My first batch was extremely tart.

3.) Slowly add your coconut oil bit by bit to your Kool-Aid paste and mix well.

4.) Fill each of your pots up. I put mine into the freezer for about 7-8 minutes to let the set up.

5.) Gloss your lips and take a selfie!
